Extra-extra news!!

They're telling us to throw away all the old water restrictions and go by these:

Lawn Watering Schedule
Watering of established lawns is allowed two days per week. Follow the chart below. Follow the chart below.
All irrigation must be accomplished before 8 a.m. or after 6 p.m. Any one zone of a property may only be watered once during the allowed day, not both in the morning and again in the evening.
Addresses ending in 0, 1, 2 or 3
Monday and Thursday
Addresses ending in 4, 5 or 6
Tuesday and Friday
Addresses ending in 7, 8 or 9, locations with no address (common areas, entry areas), and locations with mixed addresses (office complexes, shopping centers)

Wednesday and Saturday

Yeah and if you're a snowbird, you now have to somehow get down to Florida and change the schedule on your watering system because they changed the days entirely instead of leaving the original day and just adding a second. They must have some real brains work at SWIFTMD..or they need the revenue from the fines they're going to had out.

And they wonder why we want to vote them all out?

Problem is, SWFWMD is all nominated. Nobody there is accountable to us at all.

Does this mean that since my yard has 7 zones, it is going to take me 3 1/2 weeks to water my lawn?

Kinda depends on how long those zones run for.

The way I look at it. In the summer it rains enough to keep the grass green. Winter time the grass doesn't grow anyhow so what's the use. Unless you like watering weeds. They grow just fine in winter.

Here I am in the water well business discouraging people from watering their lawns. Shame on me!
